Women's equality in sports is an issue close to my heart. When the opportunity arose to direct this action-packed, high-energy documentary, I knew I wanted to make these women look powerful, fearless, and truly badass. The film celebrates female strength and resilience, challenging outdated gender norms in sports. To create a dynamic and intimate portrait, I opted for a multi-format shooting style—using an Alexa Mini for cinematic shots and a Mini DV camera for raw, personal footage captured by the athletes themselves. This allowed for authentic, in-the-moment storytelling while letting the athletes perform at full speed without interference. The result is a visually striking and emotionally compelling film that champions equality and representation in sport.
